Title of Position: Hotel Assistant General Manager

Job Description: Hotel Assistant General Manager operates the property as a profitable enterprise, leading the staff as manager, coach and trainer in the proper execution of Front Desk, Housekeeping, Laundry, Facility and Guest Service standards. The Hotel Assistant General Manager will lead the team to accomplish financial and operational results, communicating feedback, evaluating performance, and training the team in successful operation of the hotel. Hotel Assistant General Manager candidates will be expected to consistently follow-up with department heads and report directly to the Hotel General Manager and be organized and detail oriented. The Hotel Assistant General Manager must be available to work full-time, including weekends, to manage the hotel independently.

Qualifications:

At least 2-3 years of progressive Hotel Departmental Management or Supervisory experience with proven success in leadership of teams is required for the Hotel Assistant General Manager.

The Hotel Assistant General Manager must have 2-3 years of experience in front office and/or rooms division management.
Previous experience working with a national brand is preferred for the Hotel Assistant General Manager.
Prior involvement over direct sales efforts are a plus for the Hotel Assistant General Manager position.
Financial acumen to deliver healthy financial results is a must for the Hotel Assistant General Manager.
The Hotel Assistant General Manager must have experience with marketing, brand management and brand standard tasks.
The Hotel Assistant General Manager must have excellent communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written, as well as effective listening skills to understand issues and work toward problem resolution.
The Hotel Assistant General Manager must have proficient time management skills to meet commitments across multiple departments and roles.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required for the Hotel Assistant General Manager
