Hotel Director of Sales
Our hotel is a well-established select-service Hilton-branded property located in the vibrant Raleigh-Durham, NC market. With 125 beautifully appointed rooms, modern amenities, and a commitment to exceptional guest experiences, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to join our team. As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring our hotel remains a preferred choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Position Summary:
As the Director of Sales, you will lead the sales and marketing efforts, executing strategies to maximize revenue, expand market share, and enhance our brand presence. This position is ideal for a results-driven and customer-focused professional with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and the ability to create and implement effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets, with a focus on both short-term and long-term goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor the sales and marketing team, ensuring they are motivated, knowledgeable, and aligned with the hotel's goals.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing accounts.
- Market Analysis: Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and maximize market share.
- Revenue Optimization: Implement pricing strategies, revenue management techniques, and promotional campaigns to drive room occupancy and increase overall revenue.
- Sales Collateral: Oversee the development of sales and marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and online content.
- Events and Promotions: Plan and execute events, promotions, and partnerships to enhance the hotel's reputation and attract guests.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the departmental budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated optimally to achieve revenue targets.
- Reporting and Analytics: Regularly provide detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and revenue projections to the executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ years of progressive sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the Raleigh-Durham, NC market and its business landscape is a plus.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and revenue management tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
- Availability for occasional travel and a flexible work schedule as needed.
