Job Title: Maintenance Manager 

 

Compensation: $65k to $70k plus 15% annual bonus 

 

Job Description: The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment. They ensure these systems adhere to energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all systems operate to regulatory standards and that all property assets are constantly maintained to the highest level. They are also responsible for ensuring that all legally mandated safety operating systems/criteria are adhered to by all. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation. They train, mentor, and develop the engineering team, schedule employees, and direct and coordinate all engineering activities to ensure efficient management of engineering and hotel operations. The Maintenance Manager reports to the General Manager and advises when specialist intervention is required. Success in this role requires excellent leadership skills and communication skills, with a deep understanding of engineering principles and best practices. The ability to manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and prioritize competing demands is essential. Qualifications: 

·        The Maintenance Manager must have a minimum 5 years’ experience in hotel maintenance/engineering with two years management experience  

·        Appropriate degrees and certificates are required for the Maintenance Manager position 

·        Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required for the Maintenance Manager 

·        The Maintenance Manager must be able to work well with members of all departments within the hotel and promote a cordial and caring attitude toward all other department heads 

·        The Maintenance Manager must have the ability to communicate in English as well as the ability to communicate well with guests 

·        The Maintenance Manager must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations, National, State and Local building regulations and codes, equipment operations and preventive maintenance procedures
