Our fast-growing scratch Latin kitchen is seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. Located in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL. Our trendy concept embraces the rich flavors and vibrant culinary traditions of Latin American cuisine. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences through our scratch-made dishes prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients.


Job Description:

As the Kitchen Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our scratch Latin kitchen. Your passion for Latin American cuisine, culinary expertise, and leadership skills will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth operations during service hours.

• Execute and enforce proper food preparation techniques, portion control, and sanitation practices to meet and exceed health and safety regulations.

• Collaborate with the executive chef to develop and refine menu items that showcase the bold flavors and innovative twists of Latin American cuisine, while ensuring profitability and

cost control.

• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate records to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and control expenses.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their culinary skills and professional growth.


Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in a scratch kitchen environment is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of Latin American cuisine, including traditional techniques and modern interpretations.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and motivate a diverse team.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in managing inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring food safety standards.

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
