Title of Position: 

Job Description: As a Catering Sales Manager, your key responsibility will be to meet assigned sales and revenue targets by effectively soliciting new accounts and servicing existing ones. You'll work closely with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering to enhance the hotel's market share. Your duties will involve proactive solicitation calls, conducting sales tours, and entertaining clients from various market segments such as Social, Corporate, Business, or SMERF markets. You'll also need to foster existing relationships within the leisure market segment, business travel, and/or groups. Monitoring and evaluating market trends, maintaining visibility in community and industry organizations, participating in direct sales promotions, and attending relevant meetings are also part of your role. The Catering Sales Manager will perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.

Qualifications:

• The Catering Sales Manager must demonstrate creativity and knowledge of food and beverage
• High School diploma or equivalent required; previous Catering Sales experience preferred for the Catering Sales Manager
• The Catering Sales Manager must possess developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guest(s), and/or corporate clients
• The ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks; strong organization and presentation skills are required for the Catering Sales Manager
• The Catering Sales Manager must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
