Title of Position: Banquet Event Coordinator

Job Responsibilities: Our Banquet Event Coordinator will execute event orders to ensure functions run smoothly and direct their team to ensure the best experience. The Banquet Event Coordinator will work with the Assistant General Manager to ensure proper levels of staffing for events. The Banquet Event Coordinator will work closely with the Supervisor to ensure successful event execution, while overseeing employee breaks, set-up, and breakdown, and clearly understand the expectations of the Banquet Server position. The Banquet Event Coordinator is also responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training of all banquet and contract labor staff, conducting monthly department meetings, and scheduling all banquet employees within the approved budget. The Banquet Event Coordinator will work to provide a safe, healthy environment for all guests and fellow associates.

Qualifications:

·      The Banquet Event Coordinator is required to have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business or relative field

·      Our Banquet Event Coordinator must have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience in Banquet operations and leading a team

·      A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required in catering, banquet, or event sales

·      Experience with catering software is a requirement for the Banquet Event Coordinator

·      The Banquet Event Coordinator must be hard-working and energetic

·      Knowledge of industry trends is necessary for the Banquet Event Coordinator

·      The Banquet Event Coordinator must have experience with the following events weddings, birthdays, golf outings, funerals, showers, and fundraisers

·      The Banquet Event Coordinator must have a desire to sell and close banquets and drive sales
