Job Title: Hotel Director of Engineering 

Job Description: The Chief Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the engineering department including the proper operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of all heating ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment. The selected candidate must develop, coordinate, and monitor a maintenance program to ensure safety, security, and comfort for all team members and guests. Tasks also include leadership, training and managing of all engineering/maintenance associates in accordance with the standards of our hotels.

Qualifications:

• The Director of Engineering must have a minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Engineer in hotels
• 5+ years of extensive grounds/landscaping maintenance and management
• Appropriate degrees and certificates are required for the Hotel Chief Engineer position
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required for the Director of Engineering. Training in refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical is a must
• The Director of Engineering must be able to work well with members of all departments within the hotel and promote a cordial and caring attitude toward all other department heads, employees, and guests
• The Director of Engineering must have the ability to communicate in English as well as the ability to communicate well with guests
• The Hotel Director of Engineering must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations, National, State, and Local building regulations and codes, equipment operations, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• The Director of Engineering candidate must develop, coordinate, and monitor a maintenance program to ensure safety, security, and comfort to all team members and guests
